About Us
I am a licensed LCSW, LCAS, and CCS, and have been a social worker since 2014.
I have worked with many individuals, to include people struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. As a queer cis woman, I specialize in serving the LBGTQIA+ population. I have a laid back approach, and believe in the importance of building rapport with the people I serve. Life on life’s terms can be challenging, and you do not have to face it alone.
Modalities that I utilize in therapy include, but are not limited to, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, gestalt therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapy.
I strive to build a judgment free space, where we can work collaboratively in order to face life’s hurdles. I would be honored to walk with you on this journey of healing and growth.
We aren’t called Out of the Closet Counseling just because we work primarily with the traditionally underserved LGBTQIA+ population.
When starting Out of the Closet Counseling, the office was literally in a closet and due to coming out later in life as a queer person and working primarily with the LGBTQIA+ population, the name just felt right.
